Family Involvement
Dad's Day
Dad's Day is all about father-daughter time! Each fall, dads are invited to come to Purdue for a fun-filled Saturday to spend time with their daughters and meet other Phi Mu Dads. The morning begins with a tailgate at our fraternity buddies house with catered food and drinks, music, cornhole, and time to get to know each other. To culminate Dad's Day, our wonderful chef prepares a buffet style brunch on Sunday morning for anyone who wants to attend, and you definitely don't want to miss out!
Mom's Day
Mom's Day allows moms and daughters to bond at Phi Mu. A luncheon begins around eleven in the morning and is followed by a live and silent auction. Auction items, such as purses, perfumes, and gift baskets are brought by attending families and the funds raised from the auction goes to support the chapter. The money raised goes to help members acquire tutors, as well as grant wishes of the girls for improvement of the house. In the past, money raised at the auction has helped renovate the galley kitchen and purchase desks for the study rooms, bunk beds for our cold air dorm, and tables for our dining room. We are very lucky to have the great support of our parents!
Phi Mu gladly welcomes other family members and friends at both Dad's and Mom's Day.
