The Ladies of Phi Mu are dedicated to raising money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. As the only sorority corporate sponsor, Phi Mu nationally is committed to raising over $500,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals every year. The money raised and donated by our collegiate chapters is used locally to support one of the 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide. In total, Phi Mu has contributed over eight million dollars, and countless hours, improving the quality of life for children throughout the country. Here at Purdue University, all of our philanthropy events locally support Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
Each fall, we hold our Miracle Mania Dance Competition. A fraternity and sorority pair together to choreograph and perform a dance they created with help from their Phi Mu coaches. We are so excited to announce that we were able to raise over $10,000 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at our Fall 2016 Miracle Mania!
Purdue University Dance Marathon
We are also proud to support Purdue University's Dance Marathon, which also supports Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Last year over 70 of our members participated in the 18-hour event. Sisters not participating as a dancer still took the time to visit the event, bringing their support, energy, and caffeine to encourage the dancers to finish the 18 hours strong. We were proud to bring the largest amount of Greek support to the event and are extremely honored to be the recipients of the Dance Marathon Greek Cup in 2011, 2012, and 2013!
Greek Series of Poker- Wednesday, March 28, 2018
In the spring, we host our annual Greek Series of Poker, a poker competition between fraternity men. Last year we invited over 100 gentlemen into our home for the event! Our women served as hostesses and dealers. The evening was filled with glamor and prizes and the men risked it all in support for the kids!
