Philanthropy

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been Phi Mu’s national philanthropic partner since 1986. “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” The first line of Phi Mu’s Creed has been a call to serve others since it was written more than 100 years ago. From our earliest days of supporting a health mobile that delivered health care to women and children in rural areas to supporting toy carts for children in hospitals to our current partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has long been committed to lending a helping hand to those in need.

We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mus.

Delta Epsilon's Philanthropy

Our chapter is proud to support the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, with a special focus on Riley Hospital for Children. Our philanthropic efforts are highlighted in the fall during Miracle Month, featuring events such as Milkshakes for Miracles, Brunch, and Miracle Mania. Miracle Mania is a lively dance competition between FSCL pairings on campus, with Phi Mu members performing a special halftime dance. This exciting event is judged by Riley children and their families, making it a truly meaningful experience. In the spring, we are introducing a new baseball-themed food event, "Rootin' for Riley." Guests will have the opportunity to purchase tickets and enjoy a selection of foods from vendors across Purdue's campus. Additionally, Riley children and their families will be invited to the Phi Mu house for a fun-filled day. Through these events, we are dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of Riley kids and their families while fostering a spirit of service and sisterhood.
